Brief
Problem Statement
Focusing on those aged 18 - 22, I aim to design for those who are starting to use money digitally for the first time in their adult lives. Many of whom will have cash habits that they like to follow but may struggle to keep those habits with digital banking. My aim is to provide people with a service so they are able to learn new habits related to their finances.
The Client's Brief
Create a concept proposal for a product-service system
that is informed through the development of a value
constellation and supporting documentation.
When: January 2024 - April 2024
The Target Customers: The 18-30 age group
Who: Those who are largely in the initial stages of their financial lives. Still getting to grips with money matters and organising their finances
Why: We want to help them navigate their financial options, build a secure future and thrive
Design
Final Concept

When considering what direction to go towards, I conducted competitor research to create a interview questions to gauge the banking knowledge of my target market. The two main points which stood out were the desire for information to be summarised in a visual manner to make documents easier to read, and the need to make saving more compelling as many struggle to not withdraw their savings.
This made me decide it would be best to take things back to the basics and reintroduce the piggy bank to young adults to encourage better saving habits. A traditonal piggy bank allows for money to be taken whenever suits, but also encourages for small amounts to be deposited. My main objective was to make physical habits digital to make digital banking feel more familair.
